Blessing of Throats – Feast of St Blaise
On Sunday 2nd February we celebrate Candlemas Day, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. On Monday 3rd of February we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise, with Blessing of Throats at the two Masses. Since the eight century St. Blaise has been venerated as patron of those who suffer from diseases of the throat. The blessing of throats will take place at all Masses on this day.
