Hickey, Fr. Jerry (Ambrose) OSA (Late of Mountcain, Knocknagree, Co. Cork and St Augustine’s, O’ Connell Street, Limerick) 28th April 2018, peacefully in the care of Carrigoran Nursing Home. Predeceased by his brothers Fr. Bertie O.S.A, Dan, Andy and Michael. Deeply missed by his beloved sister Mary (Murphy), his sisters-in-law Mary (Mountcain), Mary (Kiskeam) and Eileen, his loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and all his Augustinian Confreres, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Limerick on Monday from 2pm to 5pm followed by removal to St Augustine’s Church at 5pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by removal to O’ Leary’s Funeral Home, Knocknagree, reposing there from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, Knocknagree on Wednesday at 11am with burial afterwards in the Augustinian plot, St Finbarr’s Cemetery, Glasheen Road, Cork at 2.30pm approx.

RIP Fr Jerry, an absolute gentleman and inspiration for the strength and courage he has shown in hes final years, always had time for my children Lee & Sarah and will always be greatful for that, we will miss you, may you rest in eternal peace
We have lost a great family friend who was with us to celebrate the good times and to support us in times of sorrow and sadness. He was a blessing in our lives. May he rest in peace.

I will miss Fr. Gerry greatly. Served his first Mass in Knocknagree. He was my teacher at St. Augustine’s Dungarvan. Kept in touch all these years. He remembered all his pupils. loved him.. RIP
